The Music of Your Life

May 24th, 2005 · 1 Comment

If you could represent your life as music, what would it be?  Can you catalogue your life by the songs and music you played.. and danced to… and loved with?

Good Vibrations from the Beach Boys?

Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 (da da da daaa)?

Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees?

Suspicious Minds by Elvis?

Age of Reason – John Farnham?

Nice Guys Finish Last from Greenday?  (thanks to having teenagers in the house, I can actually cite this one…)

Stairway to Heaven from Led Zeppelin?

I Can’t Get No Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones?

Do You Remember the Days in the Old School Yard by Cat Stevens?

RESPECT sung by Aretha Franklin?

or are you more A Day Without Rain by Enya?

or Pachelbel Cannon in D Major?

or phone on hold music possibly?  (I used to play that piece that Telstra uses on call waiting on the piano – I loved it then….)

Or what about Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture?  all fire and passion?

Or Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, all swirling and calming…?

What is the music of your life?

Why not pick a new theme piece for where you are now in your life, and where you are intending to go… let your life drive your music rather than music driving your life.
