I want what she's got…

As we rush around in life, trying to be all things to all people (big and little), there seem to be two things that get forgotten, or taken for granted in all our busyness.

The first that gets forgotten is ourselves – we put ourselves last dont we?  We wear our hearts on our sleeve and take time for everyone else.  Except the most important of all – ‘me’.

And the second thing that gets put on the backburner is our relationship.  We think – he loves us, he understands that I am so busy and sooo tired and soooo preoccupied, and that one day soon I’ll give him some time.  Of course that is baloney.  And we in our heart of hearts know it, too.

Chris Owen of Pink Apple Connections has written a very touching post today on her 31st Wedding Anniversary – an ode to the kind of relationship we all hanker for.  Thanks for leading the way, Chris, and showing us inescapable proof of the value of putting our relationship first.  And congratulations you two!

So what can we do right now, today, to put first and foremost that which is most valuable to us?  Where are your priorities right now?
