Time to 'fess up

February 14th, 2006 · 2 Comments

Yes, it’s me ‘fessing up.

It’s a confession and an apology.

If you’re a regular reader of The Clearing Space blog, you’ll know I’ve been a bit (OK, OK, a LOT) light on the writing and posting lately.  And I apologise if you’ve been disappointed.

I have been remiss in writing here since I returned from holidays – and it wasnt that holiday ennui as some of you may have suspected.  It wasnt even pure laziness (no, really!).  It was more a lack of inspiration, and a preoccupation with other things.  I often thought about blogging, and even started a few drafts, only to delete them in frustration because I just didnt like what I was writing.  My heart wasnt in it.

You see, I’m reinventing.  A process I go through regularly in my work, and now here as well.

One of the only blogs I have written recently was about Passion and your work.  And I wrote it because it had a lot of significance to me, as I explored the relationship between my passion for my work, my skills, strengths and interests and where these converge with making a living.  Because a girl’s gotta eat (and buy books and shoes, of course!).

And so, yes, I am reinventing The Clearing Space, and hence my silence recently.  I’m not quite ready to launch into a full blown announcement yet – but the day is fast approaching so please, please check your feeds, or your bookmarks, or however you access this blog…

[OR - an even better idea - Click here to sign up for More Space, my e-zine (yes, it's been in hibernation as well... sigh...) and you'll be one of the first to know of my new (and very exciting!!!) reinvention in the next couple of weeks]

PS I am VERY excited about this new direction… it will be a bit of a divergence from ‘Women Who Do Too Much’, a narrowing of focus and better utilisation of my strengths and experience. . . .

She’s back, yeah….I missed you and your posts. Sounds like your creative juices are flowing. I’ll be one of your biggest supporters so let me know what I can do. Great to hear from you.
