Making the world a better place, one blog at a time

August 31st, 2007 · 4 Comments

Last weekend, while I was in Noosa escaping from busyness for a couple of days, a wonderful list was born. Priscilla Palmer, from Personal Development Demands Success, started something big…

The Personal Development List.

And what a list it has turned out to be! Joanna Young put my name on the list rather early and I have been astounded at where it has turned up around the world this week. Thank you so much Joanna – I feel we were destined to become friends! The list has grown to mega-proportions, all people who write with the ultimate aim of making the world a better place.

There are still people whose writing I really admire who aren’t yet on the list (and a lot who are already there). These are my additions:

Chris Owen from Pink Apple.

Patti Digh from 37 Days.

April Groves from Making Life Work for You.

And the list would not be complete without the wonderful group learning celebration that is Joyful, Jubilant Learning

If you’re looking for encouragement, inspiration, motivation, ideas, theories, tips and tricks, or magic wands… to help you as you wander your life’s road then you’re sure to find something that fits the bill on this list. A word of warning, however. Surfing the highways and byways of the blogosphere can be highly addictive – you go to check one little thing out and before you know it, an hour… an afternoon… an eon has passed…

The entire list (updated regularly by Priscilla) can be found here

I am curious about what Priscilla had in mind when she first started this list. It seems to me the list has taken on a life of it’s own…

Thanks so much for participating. You are correct the list has taken on a life of it’s own. I love it.

I thought when I created it that it had the potential to be big but, it has far surpassed even what I knew it could do. Thanks to all of you!

Hi Karen, well I love your work and wanted to share it with other people.

Thanks for the post title by the way – it’s a great reminder that even if we can’t see or hear the impact our words still count.
